BE Webber U15 Tournament


Some of our Kent juniors travelled to play at the Webber BE Tournament over in Buckinghamshire. They did very well as always.

Bronze medals in both the girls & boys doubles! Girls Lucy Satterford (pictured) with her partner Pragya & boys Sam Goddard with Jack Browne. Well done!

 

Kent Junior Restricted





The Junior Restricted seems to come round so fast each year. Yet another great event was held and we have more little stars in the making.

Some of the stars were David Lang who won three medals. Sofia Bao who won two medals. Kitty Pope won two medals. Annabel Sykes, Rosie Williamson, Hannah Sarshar & Melissa Mundy all winning great medals.

Super well done guys & keep up this great start to the season!

Kent U17 Bronze & Hertfordshire Senior Silver tournaments

The new season has come round so quick. The 2018/2019 season has already had several tournaments and we already have had some great Kent success!

Firstly in the U17 Kent Bronze (Pictured), Aoife Rogers & Ingrid Ghosh won Gold in Girls doubles, Aoife went on to win Bronze in the Mixed with Sam Goddard & she won bronze in the singles. Well done guys awesome work!

In the Seniors, Rico Shergill got to the Semi Final of the Hertfordshire Silver beating 3 top 50 players. Senior management will be happy to hear as are all of us.

Shires Finals U18

Our fabulous U18 team have performed again to win the 3rd place medal at this years U18 Shires Finals! It was a super hard event, only allowing for one set in each match and having the top 8 counties all in one place.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that this U18 team are the most successful junior team Kent have ever produced!!! They have all had such an amazing season and the success in tournaments, grading’s, rankings, ICT, Shires & Shires finals just has not stopped.

Were all so proud of this team, proud of the parents, coaches & the players for all their hard work over many years to reach these heights. Well done all of you and thanks for the memories!

Essex U14 Open Tournament  

Boys doing well too..

After winning triple gold in the Kent U14 Open (Singles, Doubles & mixed), David Lang went on the following weekend to win another gold in the Essex U14 Open in the doubles & won a silver in the singles. 

These kind of consistent results are great for David & his Shires team looking forward to the 2018/2019 season.

Kent U14 Open Tournament

The Kent U14 tournament was held at Medway Park and was another good tournament for our rising stars. Success all over the place from the likes of David Lang winning gold in the boys singles, Sofia Bao winning Silver in the girls singles, Sam Goddard & Jack Browne winning Bronze in boys doubles, Lucy Satterford & Pragya Deori winning gold in girls doubles (pictured), Niamh Rogers & Mina Myall willing Bronze in the girls doubles!

You guys all did fantastic!

Thank you again to Phil and his team of volunteers in running the event for the children so well.

National Schools Championships 2018

The National Schools Championships came to a conclusion at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes. Kent had one team that made it through to these finals. Walthamstow Hall School girls team. We are pleased to announce that they did very well and won the whole event!

Super well done to you all, were sure that your school, coaches & parents are just as crazy proud of you are Kent are! Such an amazing group of girls all in one school.

U13 & U17 Nationals

The U13 & U17 2018 Nationals took place in the national badminton centre at Milton Keynes. We are super pleased to announce that in the U13 event, Sofia Bao won the doubles (with partner Lucy Brierley) and then also went on to win medals in the singles & the mixed (with partner Ben Horseman)!

Also in the U17 event, Holly Williams again showed all her talent to win the bronze medal in the mixed (with partner Will Atkin). Both are currently a year young for this event so showing real promise for the 2018/2019 season!

Well done to both you girls and of course well done to the parents for all the commitment.

Kent ICT Team 2018




 

Kent came 2nd in the country!! Just WOW! This team have achieved the joint best Kent have ever achieved, only being match by a 1986 team. The children were simply amazing and only lost one close match all week. The supporters were also great as per the pictures. Thank you to all the children for many years of hard training to get to this stage. Also a special thanks to the parents for all the support before, throughout & during this event. What a team and what a result hey!!

Kent ECC Team 2018

Kent are back in the ECC for the first time in many years. It was a great return and the team worked well to ensure that the earned 10th place! Well done guys!

Middlesex U19 Bronze BE Tournament   
 

Stepping up an age group, Shivani Bhoombla has had great success at the weekend with winning the silver medal at the Middlesex U19 tournament. 

Keep up the hard work, your family & Kent are very proud of you and your achievements!

South East Regional Finals U14


Our Kent School Games Champions U14 Team are now called the “South East Regional Champions”! This fab bunch of girls went on to win all their matches and won the day with 24 game wins against only 1 less. Just wow!

The girls now get to travel to the National finals with a confidence which we hope takes them far.

Congratulations to Rosie Williamson, Sophia Bao, Holly Williams, Hannah Sarshar and Annabel Sykes.

BE Tournament success in Suffolk, Sussex & Essex for Kent players





A crazy week of more and more medals… The children are clearly working hard and its paying off.

Ayman & Sai won silver in the Suffolk U15. Niamh & Lucy, Annabel & Hannah all played Sussex U15 and both pairs won bronze in the  doubles. Aoife & Jess won gold in the U17 Essex doubles. Niamh won gold in the U13 Essex in her singles.

Super well done to you all!

BE Bronze Hampshire U13 success

 

A fantastic result for one of our rising junior stars. Niamh Rogers won the gold medal in the doubles & then went on to win the silver medal in the singles event! What a fantastic Hampshire tournament result and a very big well done from us all at Kent!

Clearly the hard work in your training and learning is going great.

BE Bronze East London U15 medal winners

 
More medals on another good weekend for the Kent juniors. This time it was the boys U15 doubles team consisting of Ayman Ahmad & Sai Abbaraju. They won the Bronze medal at the Badminton England East London tournament on Saturday the 3rd of Feb. Well done boys, keep up the good work!

Kent School Games


 

We have many or our junior stars in the Kent School Games. We have had several winners who will be now progressing to the finals, so a big well done to them. A special mention to our U14 girls team who not only won but also have their whole team represented by Kent County players! Fab team and we wish all our players well in the finals. U17 & U15 Success @ weekends Tournaments in Redbridge



 

U17 Silver medals all round for Kent stars at Redbridge! Emma Goddard won a silver medal in the girls singles, Sankalp Ramanan won a silver medal in the boys singles, Holly Williams won a silver medal in the girls doubles!

Also David Lang won gold in the boys U15 doubles & bronze medal in his singles event!

Well done guys, your all fab so keep the success coming.

2017 European U17 Championships in Czech Republic

   

Rory Easton has become the Mixed U17 European Champion!! We always knew how special he was and how well he has done over the past few years, but this tops the lot. What an amazing achievement & wonderful moment for him & his family. A massive well done from us all at Kent and all that know him. Its going to be a fantastic season with news like this boosting his team…

Emily Tillman Won Gold in the Mixed with her partner Matthew Lawrence, Emma Goddard won a Bronze in the girls Singles & we won Bronze medals with Sankalp Ramanan & Prabhav Bhamidipati in the boys Doubles. Well done guys, great start to the season!

The Junior Restricted 2017 was a fantastic 2 day event held at Medway Park Venue. Phil and his team ran to time and with no problems. The children were fantastic and made their parents proud.

This years event was sponsored by the KBSA who are again a big part of making the event one to remember.

A successful ICT 2017 for Kent Junior Team!!!

Our Kent ICT 2017 Team did everyone proud. We had several injuries to deal with and one player ending up in a leg cast. Yet still the team were able to come together and secure 13th place out of 38 teams who entered. Well done to all and thank you to the adults who helped.

Rory Easton does himself & county proud again

Rory went to the U17 Nationals and won a gold medal in the Mixed, won Silver in Singles and also silver in the doubles! His family and the Kent County are very proud, well done Rory!

Suffolk U16 success for Kent!

Rohan Shergill won gold in Suffolk U16 Bronze singles and a silver in his doubles.

David Lang (U13) and Sofia Bao (U12) are looking forward to attending their first England U13 residential training camp, congratulations!

Holly Williams has been selected to represent England in the U15 8 Nations squad (6 boys and 6 girls ) that will travel to Belgium in late March

Rory Easton reached the final of the U19 Derby Gold in boys doubles and semi-final in mixed, following on from a triple Gold in his own age group at the Redbridge U17 Gold in early January

Katie Friar & Emily Tillman won the Doubles title with Emma Goddard taking the Bronze. Super well done to you all!

Katie & Emily then went on to win another Gold in doubles at the following weekends tournament in Northampton!

Emily also won a Bronze medal in the singles

Sankalp and Rohan played in the Middlesex under 16 bronze. 

Sankalp won the Singles Gold with Rohan taking the Bronze.

Then then went on together to win the Silver medal in the doubles, well done lads!

Emily Tillman & Katie Friar Won Gold in the Womens doubles, Emily went on to win Bronze in the mixed & singles in the U17 Bronze.

Emily also won a Bronze in the singles in the U17 Silver on Sunday!

Jack Browne and Sam Goddard awarded the bronze medal at the under 11 English National Championships losing only to the eventual tournament winners in a very competitive semi final. A fantastic achievement
